Railway Transportation to CIS Countries

On October 30, 2017, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line was opened as a result of the cooperation between Türkiye, Georgia and Azerbaijan. In this way, Türkiye has established a direct connection with the CIS countries via the Iron Silk Road. Arkas Rail is the first private railway company to carry out transportation on this line.

With the BTK line, which has been in continuous service since the day it was opened, import, export and transit cargoes are transported without interruption by rail. Transportation is carried out using platform type wagons and 20' and 40' containers.
